Design in mechanical engineering and for industrial products
Classification
Industrial machinery, subsystems, and technical aids are essential for industrial processes. They must be able to integrate into existing workflows and function reliably in day-to-day operations. In this context, it is not only the technical solution that is crucial, but also its industrial suitability.
Our contribution
We develop industrial machinery, machine components, industrial products, and custom-designed tools and technical equipment.
The starting point is always a specific industrial application, along with the requirements related to usage, the environment, and the process.
Many of the machines we design are mass-produced by our customers.
In addition to designing the products themselves, we also develop the necessary technical equipment and manufacturing aids—for example, for the production, assembly, or adjustment of the assemblies we help design.
We work closely with our clients’ development teams on a long-term basis: Some of our employees are directly integrated into the client’s existing development team, where they work on their own, well-defined tasks.
The linked case study describes the challenges involved in developing a robotic workstation for bonding heat exchanger plates.
Our focus is on:
-
Clear and future-proof product architecture
-
Industrial-grade, rugged design
-
Seamless integration into existing processes
-
Design for manufacturability
Our range of services in mechanical engineering
-
Design of mass-produced products and assemblies for industrial manufacturing
-
Development of equipment and production aids (manufacturing, assembly, adjustment)
-
Close collaboration with our clients' existing development teams, in some cases across several years
-
Handling independent subtasks within larger development projects
Result
The result is industrial-grade solutions that can be reliably integrated and ensure smooth, predictable operation.
We can transition seamlessly from traditional mechanical engineering into our fourth pillar: design and construction of building equipment and environmental technology for long-term infrastructure use. Product requirements are typically comparable in both contexts.
